September 19, 2013
Kaumatule, whom coach David Shaw talked up as being an integral part of Stanford's offense since the start of spring camp, has posted just one catch for five yards through the Cardinal's first two games of 2013, The Seattle Times points out.
ANALYSIS
The fact that Kaumatule and fellow Cardinal tight end Charlie Hopkins have accounted for just two receptions totaling nine yards to this point in the season seems to give credence to the argument made by The Seattle Times that "the tight end-oriented offense in which Stanford prospered the past few years in now passe." Fantasy owners would be wise to take heed of that possibility and avoid utilizing either Kaumatule or Hopkins any time in the immediate future.

2013 Fantasy Outlook
Zach Ertz and Levine Toilolo off to the NFL, Kaumatule could be next in line at Tight End U. He didn't catch a pass as a freshman, but Kaumatule should garner most the tight-end targets this season as a sophomore. Ertz and Toilolo combined for 93 receptions, 1,291 yards and 10 touchdowns last year, leaving a lot of potential production for Kaumatule even if junior Devon Cajuste factors into the position. And at 6-8, 270, Kaumatule makes for a massive red-zone target.
