Cuiellette transferred from Tulane to Texas Southern earlier in the offseason, Guerry Smith of The New Orleans Advocate reports.
ANALYSIS
Before tumbling down the depth chart last season and appearing in only two contests, Cuiellette made 10 starts for Tulane in 2016, completing only 42.6 percent of his passes for 1,309 yards, 10 touchdowns and eight interceptions while adding 216 yards and a score on the ground. Cuiellette wasn't likely to serve as even the top backup for Tulane in 2018 with junior-college transfer Jonathan Banks in the fold, so he elected to move down to the FCS level in pursuit of playing time. Cuiellette, a redshirt junior, will have two seasons of collegiate eligibility remaining.
