T.J. Yates

Yates struggled badly in 2009 after an excellent 2008 season, and his job isn't very safe this year. He figures to start the season as the top quarterback, but if his 14 touchdowns and 15 interceptions from last year are any indication, he might not be able to hold off the well-hyped Bryn Renner, a former top recruit who probably couldn't be any worse than Yates was last year. Yates is a risky pick in any format, as North Carolina's expectations are too high to give Yates much of a margin of error. If last year told us anything, he's likely to wear it out quickly.
