Gillislee rushed nine times for 48 yards against Louisville in the Sugar Bowl on Wednesday.
ANALYSIS
The Gators were forced to abandon the run after falling behind early, so Gillislee's production was rather limited. He finishes a standout senior season with 1,152 yards rushing and 10 touchdowns on the ground, averaging 4.7 yards per tote.

Past Fantasy Outlooks
2012
2011
2010
After waiting in obscurity while the likes of Jeff Demps and Chris Rainey dominated the Florida backfield, it looks like Gillislee will finally get his chance in 2012. He has been a highly productive player when he has seen the field, running for 920 yards (6.3 YPC) and 10 touchdowns on just 145 carries. With Rainey and Demps graduated in the offseason, there's a void of 269 carries in the Florida offense. If Gillislee can get just 150 of those (reaching a total of 200) – and it's difficult to imagine that he won't – 1,000 yards and 10 touchdowns seems like a reasonable minimal expectation.
Gillislee might be one of the more interesting running back sleepers this year. Jeff Demps and Chris Rainey are more established runners for Florida, but both are basically option toss specialists and aren't built to be inside runners in Florida's new pro-style scheme. Gillislee has shown much more ability in that regard, and he has shown plenty of big-play ability at the same time. If Gillislee can take the top spot in Florida, he'll be a fantasy hit. Mack Brown is another player who should be watched in the Florida backfield.
Gillislee only saw action in six games last season as a freshman, but he averaged a phenomenal 8.6 yards per carry. He will enter the season second or third on the depth chart, but he will likely see an increase in carries in 2010. The Gators have a history of playing multiple backs, so he should see a decent amount of carries without a true primary running back on the roster. Look for a significant improvement in Gillislee's production, but be aware that his numbers will be limited by the other quality backs on the roster.
