It appears Akron's coaching staff is "ready to move on" from senior starting quarterback Chris Jacquemain. In Monday's press conference, head coach J.D. Brookhart had nothing but praise for Rodgers, a sophomore, who led the Zips this past Saturday against Indiana. Brookhart stated he plans on having Rodgers remain under center in order to gain experience until such time that the currently suspended Jacquemain is allowed back on the playing field, ESPN.com reports.
