Broom scored a half century in New Zealand's five wicket loss to Bangladesh on Wednesday.

With a score of 63 in the last game of the tri-series, Broom finished in second place for most runs in the series behind New Zealand captain Tom Latham. Broom was the only other player to pass 200 runs for the series and did so with his second 50-plus score of the series, having previously gotten 79 as well as scores of 48 and 38. Broom enjoyed a 153 run partnership with Tom Latham until he was caught by Mashrafe Mortaza off the bowling of Nasir Hossain.
