Wilson visited with the Browns on Tuesday, the Denver Post reports.
ANALYSIS
The Browns have been one of the most active teams during free agency and signing Wilson would help an already improved Browns defense. If he doesn't sign with the Browns, he will likely end up in Detroit for the 2008 season.

Wilson, the starting middle linebacker, returns to a Denver linebacking corp that returns intact from last season, and is as strong as ever. He is entering his eighth NFL season, and wanted to drop five to 10 pounds in the offseason to maintain his quickness.
Wilson’s 2004 stat line is a little deceptive since he essentially didn’t play in Week 2 after an injury. Still, even if he’d had 76 solos instead of 71 (and with those two picks something of a fluke in a career that’s seen interceptions in only one other season), it’s clear that whether Wilson can get to the quarterback makes or breaks his fantasy seasons. Denver’s strength is its linebacker corps, and they’re considering using a 3-4 alignment, which means linebackers will more often be sent on the pass rush. Wilson has logged five sacks twice in his career and averages about three per season, so you can bet they’ll be sending him much in the way Houston sent Jamie Sharper from an inside position in its 3-4. And don’t worry about an extra linebacker on the field taking away Wilson’s tackles. Ray Lewis plays in a 3-4.
Wilson, who the team locked up with a seven-year deal this offseason, will remain the heart and soul of the defense. He led the Broncos last season in tackles with 128 (99 solo) and had one sack resulting in his third straight selection to the Pro Bowl. Wilson should continue to be a nice option for the individual defensive player leagues.
Wilson had 100 solo tackles, five sacks and two fumble recoveries a year ago as the Broncos middle linebacker. The acquisition of Darryl Gardener to clog things up in the middle and keep blockers away should only help. Entering the final year of his contract should further motivate Wilson to perform well.
