ANALYSIS
A first-round pick by the Lions in 2001 who spent all 12 seasons with the organization, Backus missed only one start in his career, this past season's Thanksgiving Day game against the Texans. Although never a regarded as a fron tline left tackle, there's something to be said about his steadiness week in and week out. The Lions will transition at the left tackle spot to Riley Reiff, the team's first-round pick out of Iowa last season.
