Minnesota has talked with the agent for George about a contract for this season, the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports.
ANALYSIS
The Vikings would like to add another veteran running back for depth. Joining the Vikings wouldn't do much for George's fantasy value, as he'd likely be third or fourth string.

Past Fantasy Outlooks
2004
2003
George is in the last throes of what has been a steep three-year decline. Last year, George and the Titans were 31st in converting short-yardage plays, 29th in yards gained 10-yards past the line of scrimmage and were stuffed at the line of scrimmage more often than all but four teams. Assuming George remains with the Titans (no sure thing at press time), Chris Brown should at the very least eat into his carries and could take the job outright by season’s end.
George's average per carry has been a joke the last three seasons, at 3.7, 3.0 and 3.4 yards a rush, but he has maintained fantasy value because the Titans keep using him as a goal-line option. George scored 12 times on the ground last year, and two more times through the air, so he has now scored 35 times over three seasons despite the diminishing returns on the ground. And even as George made just 3.4 yards a carry last year, the Titans didn't seem to mind feeding him the ball 343 times. And while George hasn't missed a start in six seasons, don't make the mistake of assuming that he's not injury prone. In truth, he's the same type of player Steve McNair is – George is willing to answer the bell no matter how badly he's beaten up.
