Jansen is battling Gosder Cherilus for the Lions' starting right tackle job, the Detroit Free Press reports.
ANALYSIS
The Lions signed Jansen, a Michigan native, to a one-year contract this offseason to bolster their offensive line. Jansen and Cherilus will battle throughout the preseason, but the Lions will likely give Cherilus the first look after selecting him in the first round in 2008.
