Ryan has never caught more than six passes in a season, but he has an opportunity to compete for the starting job in Kansas City following the departure of Tony Gonzalez. However, there are four other candidates also fighting for the spot, and the tight end isn’t a feature of Todd Haley offenses anyway. Unless Ryan snags the job outright with a strong camp, he can safely be ignored in fantasy play.

Ryan appears to be the frontrunner for Miami's third tight end spot, behind David Martin and Anthony Fasano. There's no reason to have him on your roster unless something happens to the other two.

Depth TE.

Ryan will probably have to win a role on special teams to see much action for the Cowboys, as Dallas has plenty of tight end depth.
