Jones -- who announced his retirement in February before changing his mind in early April -- will take over punting duties for Drew Kaser, who was released Tuesday. The 14-year veteran is also expected to hold kicks for Caleb Sturgis.

Jones had his lowest yards-per-punt average since 2006 last season, but he’s still capable and he’ll be the team’s starting punter until further notice.
