Keo, who operated near exclusively on special teams last season, re-signed with the Saints on a one-year deal back in March at the veteran minimum. Fortunately, the five-year veteran still has plenty of time to land another contract before team training camps start up in late July.

IDP Analysis: Matthews Back Up Off The Mat

Keo, who emerged as a starter at time in 2013, after Danieal Manning got injured and Ed Reed underwhelmed. The Texans brought in a couple of free agent safeties, which will push Keo down the depth chart -- perhaps off the roster totally.
Keo enters his third NFL season, all with the Texans, and should provide depth at the safety position. The signing of Ed Reed eliminated any chance of him moving up to replace the departed Glover Quin (Detroit). Still, the Texans love his physicality. He's plays well on special teams and can return kicks in a pinch.
Keo enters his second season with the Texans after being selected in fifth round of the 2011 draft. His physical play during training camp impressed head coach Gary Kubiak and helped land him a spot on the practice squad before joining the main team mid-season. He saw most of his action on special teams and will continue to do so in 2012.
Keo is a physical secondary man and also has experience returning punts. He played primarily at cornerback at the University of Idaho, but the Texans were looking to switch him up to safety before they released him. He was then re-signed to Houston's practice squad.
