Pilares got most of his work on special teams in 2011, although he is likely to be replaced there by 2012 fourth round draft pick Joe Adams. That leaves Pilares to fight for time at wide receiver, which may be tough given the talent above him on the depth chart.

Pilares is part of a deep wide receiver depth chart that isn't long on production. While he likely won't be in the mix for the starting job opposite Steve Smith, it's possible that he can make a name for himself later in the season.
