Graham will have to battle throughout the offseason in Philadelphia to try and secure a top-five spot on the Eagles' receiving depth chart, but may ultimately wind up on the practice squad when the regular season rolls around. In four games with the Saints last season, he caught four balls on four targets for 24 yards and no touchdowns, and it doesn't appear likely those numbers increase much in 2016 with so much competition in the Eagles' aerial attack.
Released by both the Bills and Titans last season, Graham eventually locked on with the Jets, but managed just three receptions for 87 yards and one touchdown in 12 games played. While the former third-rounder’s speed has long intrigued teams, Graham’s skills seem best suited for return duties on special teams. With that in mind, the reserve receiver’s fantasy value is quite restricted as he aims to make the Jets’ roster ahead of this season.
Graham has yet to translate his speed into consistent NFL production, and he was released by the Bills at the end of the preseason. He'll get a chance to contribute to the Titans' offense after being claimed on waivers, but he's a break or two away from fantasy relevance.
Small and speedy, the 5-11, 188-pound Graham could be a nice fit for Doug Marrone's fast-paced offense, but several things have to shake out in Buffalo this summer before we have a clear idea of his role. First the Bills have to decide on a quarterback – either Kevin Kolb or EJ Manuel – and then they need to decide on who's starting opposite Steve Johnson, most likely second rounder Robert Woods, but Graham, Marquise Goodwin and a few others will vie for that role in camp. Even if Graham winds up as the No. 3 target, however, he could have a significant role in the new offense.
Graham was the Bills' third-round pick in 2012. While the team loves Graham's speed and work ethic, he's admittedly struggling to get a grasp on a pro offense that has a number of returning veterans. We bring this up more as a reminder that Graham is probably a long shot for that vacant No. 2 receiving spot the Bills have. More than likely, they'll turn to a veteran like Donald Jones and then use Graham in certain passing packages that require an outside speed receiver. How he handles a role similar to that early will determine how much PT he gets as the season wears on and other receivers perhaps get injured. But unless the coaching staff comes out and specifically says something, try to view Graham more as a promising speed guy with upside who probably won't be on the field nearly as much as some of the other Buffalo receivers for the first month of the season.
