2014

2013

Jenkins had a negligible role with the 49ers last season, seeing just 35 offensive snaps and one target all season. While the 6-0, 192-pound Jenkins has just average size, he has good speed (4.39 40 at the NFL Combine), runs crisp routes and possesses good hands. Jenkins, the 30th overall pick in the 2012 NFL Draft, will now get a well-timed fresh start with the Chiefs, but he has much to prove before becoming a reliable fantasy option. For now, we'd expect him to slot in behind new teammates Dwayne Bowe, Donnie Avery and Dexter McCluster.

2012

Taken with the 30th pick of this year’s draft, the 6-0, 192-pound Jenkins has just average size, but good speed (4.39 40 at the NFL Combine), runs crisp routes and has good hands. The 49ers are suddenly deep at the receiver position with Michael Crabtree, Randy Moss and Mario Manningham, but Moss is a crap shoot and Manningham’s not getting enough guaranteed money to ensure him a prominent role. Jenkins’ upside in a run-first offense with a good deal of competition for targets – including tight end Vernon Davis – is on the modest side in Year 1, but he’s a prospect to watch for the second half of the year and beyond.
