Dyer, an undrafted rookie, will be released by the Raiders on Saturday, but he'll likely be placed on the practice squad, ESPN's Bill Williamson reports.
ANALYSIS
Dyer is a 24-year-old former five-star recruit who transferred multiple times during college due to off-field issues, but he's best known for posting back-to-back 1,000-yard seasons for Auburn in 2010 and 2011. Assuming he clears waivers, he'll almost certainly have a spot on the practice squad. The Raiders apparently prefer George Atkinson or Taiwan Jones over Dyer as the No. 3 running back.

2015 Fantasy Outlook
The Raiders signed the undrafted rookie free agent out of Louisville earlier this offseason to try and add depth to the running back position after the departure of Darren McFadden. He'll likely receive the third and final roster spot at his position behind Latavius Murray and Roy Helu. It remains to be seen how much he'll actually see the field but he'll certainly be next in line if one of those top two guys were to go down with an injury.
