He's a solid pro but how much can you really expect from a 35-year-old defensive end? The Jets may live to regret this contract. Von Oelhoffen fans fondly remember his eight sacks in 2003, but he's only got 17.5 others over his 12-year career.

The 34-year-old is getting long on tooth, but opponents continue to marvel at his bear-like strength. It's possible von Oelhoffen has lost more than a step. His sacks total fell from eight in 2003, to just one in 2004. It's also possible, however, that his role changed with nose tackle Casey Hampton missing most of last year.
