With Ahman Green (knee) on injured reserve, the Texans may need Sapp, a fullback, to back up Steve Slaton and Ryan Moats at running back, the Houston Chronicle reports.
ANALYSIS
Salton (chest, ribs) and Moats (ankle) are banged up themselves, so the Houston running back situation is precarious as it heads into Monday night's game against the Jaguars.

Sapp will backup Vonta Leach and primarily block when in the game.
Sapp, fully revored from a heel injury that sidelined him for parts of the 2006 season, spent a good deal of time during offseason workouts working at tailback. The Broncos don't have a ton of depth at the position after Travis Henry and Mike Bell, so Sapp could provide valuable insurance while splitting time with Kyle Johnson at fullback. Even if he does see a little time at halfback, he should have very little fantasy value.
Sapp provides the team depth a fullback.
A practice squad guy for Denver.
Sapp is one of three rookies competing in the Broncos backfield for a roster spot along with Quentin Griffin and Ahmaad Galloway.
