Nate Jackson

Healthy for the first time in years, Jackson will still have some work to do if he wants the ball thrown his way. Stepehen Alexander once again opens as the No. 1 tight end for the Broncos, but he's been working on his blocking skills, and last year had just 21 receptions. It seems the Broncos want second round draft choice Tony Scheffler to be their receiving tight end. If he doesn't have the experience to be effective this year however, the Broncos could look to involve Jackson in the passing game more this year. Jackson, a converted wide receiver, is athletic and fast, and is finally regaining his speed after struggling with a hamstring injury all last year. He lined up with the first-team offense in two-tight end formations in minicamp, and while he won't get many catches early on, he could be a guy to keep an eye on as the season progresses.

The converted wide receiver hopes to make an impact at tight end. Unfortunately, he'll be buried on the depth chart.

Jackson is buried on the depth chart so he has limited if any value at all.

The Broncos acquired Nate Jackson from the San Francisco 49ers in exchange for a conditional low-round draft pick. If Jackson makes the team's opening 53-player roster, Denver will send the 49ers a seventh-round pick in 2004.
