RotoWire's Preseason Outlooks
There was no outlook written for Kyle Kosier.
Starting left guard is aging but steady, and will provide some continuity for a Dallas offensive line working in some younger players.
Starting right tackle isn't Pro Bowl caliber like some of his Cowboys linemates, but he's effective enough.
A foot injury cut short Kosier's season, and he'll have to fend off some younger linemen to keep his starting left guard spot.
Starting left guard.
Started 16 games at left guard for Dallas in 2006.
Starting LG will try to fill Larry Allen's shoes.
Backup offensive guard.
Kosier was a jack-of-all-trades last season for the 49ers starting at multiple positions due to injuries. In 2004, he will open the year as the team's starting right guard but will probably give way to second-round pick Justin Smiley midway through the season.
Kosier will back up Scott Gragg at RG for the 49ers offensive line.
