RotoWire's Preseason Outlooks
There was no outlook written for Matt Ware.
Ware was signed in response to Adrian Wilson's injury, but he isn't likely to assume top safety duties if Wilson is out for a considerable amount of time.
Ware could push Kerry Rhodes for a starting safety job during training camp, but it's more likely that he'll be used in nickel and dime situations. Ware had 24 tackles in 11 games -- including one start -- for the Cardinals last season.
The Cardinals bolstered their secondary by signing Bryant McFadden and drafting Rashad Johnson and Greg Toler this offseason. Thatís bad news for Ware, who has been a backup for the Cardinals since 2006. He might not even make Arizonaís 53-man roster this season.
Ware should be buried on the Cardinals' bench this season.
Arizona upgraded its secondary, particularly at safety, during the offseason. As a result, Ware shouldn't see much playing time. He has an outside shot to serve as the Cardinals' nickelback.
Selected in the third round by the Eagles in 2004, Ware will add depth to a depleted Eagles' secondary.
