Agreed to a six-year, $19.5 million contract with $6.5 million guaranteed in July 2011.
With the return of Morten Andersen, Koenen is expected to be used for field goals longer than 47 yards, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.

Koenen is a punter. The only way he will be relevant in fantasy football is if Jason Elam gets hurt. Even then, it's more likely Atlanta would sign a replacement than let Koenen kick any field goals, something he hasn't done since 2006.
The Falcons' punter may get a shot at a few long field goals in 2008.
The Falcons tried Koenen out at kicker last season, but the experiment was scrapped after he started the year 3-9 on field goal attempts. Expect him to stick to punting duties alone in 2007.
