RotoWire's Preseason Outlooks
There was no outlook written for Tye Hill.
Hill goes into the 2010 season as a backup cornerback.
After struggling with injuries his first two seasons Hill emerged in this year's mini-camps as a true contender for the other starting corner job opposite Ron Bartell. At worst Hill should end up as the club's nickel-back but we fully expect him to win the starting job and be thrown at an awful lot early in the season which could make him a fringe IDP candidate at corner, especially if he starts making plays.
Hill is coming off wrist surgery but is still expected to slide back into his No. 2 cornerback slot alongside Fakhir Brown.
The rookie quickly moved up the depth chart last year and supplanted Travis Fisher at the starting left cornerback position by season's end. Hill is expected to once again start opposite Fakhir Brown in 2007 and should have an even better season now that he's got some big show experience under his belt.
Hill is penciled in to man the nickel back job to start the 2006 season but could gradually steal away the No. 2 CB job from starter Travis Fisher.
