Surprising move by the Seahawks, since the move leaves them with only two healthy receivers, Courtney Taylor and Logan Payne. Neither of those players did much on Sunday, but Kent couldn't even haul in a pass in five targets. The Seahawks will need to add a receiver before Sunday's game against San Francisco.

RotoWire's Preseason Outlooks

2013

There was no outlook written for Jordan Kent.

2010

Can you say "practice squad"? There is just way to much competition at wide receiver for us to even consider the possibility of Kent cracking the top six.

2009

Kent figured to have an edge last year on his fellow inexperienced receivers because of his size and speed. That didn't pan out, though, and despite a dearth of receivers because of injuries, Kent was cut after Week 1. He was later re-signed to the practice squad and enters this season seeking one of the last two WR spots.

2008

While it's more likely he'll end up as Seattle's fifth or sixth receiver, Kent does have a shot to move up to No. 3 or 4 at some point during the season, in which case he actually could be a relative sleeper worthy of adding in deeper leagues.

2007

Kent will battle fellow rookie Courtney Taylor for the last spot among Seattle's receivers. Both were sixth-round picks in April's draft. Kent could have an edge with his 6-foot-5 height.
