Exclusive Fantasy Analysis (FREE PREVIEW)Audie Cole will take over the starting middle linebacker role. Henderson lost the job amid his recent arrest for DWI and possession of a controlled substance, but it sounds like the coaching staff also used the incident as an excuse to move Cole into the starting role.
Exclusive Fantasy Analysis (FREE PREVIEW)On Nov. 19, according to the St. Paul Pioneer Press, Henderson was arrested on suspicion of DWI and possession of a controlled substance. He was thereafter absent from practice and held out of Week 12's tie at Green Bay, as he dealt with a "personal matter." In his place, Audie Cole will start at middle linebacker, and it's currently unknown exactly how many snaps coach Leslie Frazier will hand over to Henderson, who remains in a tie for 10th among the league's leaders in tackles.
RotoWire's Preseason Outlooks
Henderson will start at the weak-side linebacker spot after taking over the job in 2011. He puts up decent tackle totals, but doesn't rush the quarterback which limits his value in IDP formats.
Henderson is the leading candidate to start at weakside linebacker with the Vikings apparently not likley to re-sign Ben Leber.
Henderson will backup Chad Greenway on the depth chart, and will contribute on special teams. In ten games last season, Henderson had 15 tackles.
Henderson will attempt to make Minnesota's 53-man roster as a backup linebacker, and his chances certainly won't be hurt by the fact that he is the younger brother of the Vikings' top linebacker E.J. Henderson.
