RotoWire's Preseason Outlooks

2014

There was no outlook written for Marcus Smith.

2011

Marcus Smith will be fighting for the fourth receiver spot once again. He is often praised in practice reports, but after four seasons of not seeing the field it's fair to call him vaporware at this point.

2010

Smith was jockeying for the fourth receiver slot last season before tearing his ACL in August. He'll have a tougher time making his way onto the field with all of the new additions to the receiving corps in the offseason.

2009

Smith, who was compete for the Ravens' fourth receiving spot, tore his ACL in the team's preseason opener.

2008

Smith has made a name for himself as a receiver who is willing to do it all, whether it be blocking, receiving over the middle or playing on special teams. He has the potential to be a contributor a few years down the road but, like most rookies, will struggle to make a significant impact in his first season.
