Ball displayed signs of promise in spurts throughout his time in Denver but was unable to crack the team's roster.
Ball has shown a nice skill set in the Broncos' backfield, although he is simply not as talented as the other backs on the depth chart. With Willis McGahee, Knowshon Moreno, Ronnie Hillman and Mario Fannin competing with him for carries, it's tough to see any significant upside for Ball unless there is a rash of injuries.
Ball sits behind Knowshon Moreno and Willis McGahee on the depth chart, which seemingly doesn't give him much fantasy value. However, both Moreno and McGahee have been known to get hurt, and with John Fox's run-heavy offense, Ball could be in line for touches if any of the guys ahead of him go down.
Ball most likely will not be worthy of a fantasy roster spot in 2010, but with the Broncos' history of injuries in the backfield, he could get a chance later in the season.
Ball has a chance to make the team, but a fantasy impact is not likely without injuries to the Colts running back core.
