RotoWire's Preseason Outlooks

2014

There was no outlook written for Evan Moore.

2012

Moore doubled his receptions last season to 34 but had only two more yards to show for it than in 2010. Inefficiency was a common theme for the Cleveland offense, which struggled all season. The Browns drafted quarterback Brandon Weeden, who is expected to start immediately, to ignite the passing game, but until that happens – if it happens – Moore won’t have much value. And even then, he still has starter Ben Watson with whom to contend. Despite playing in three fewer games, Watson had 71 targets to Moore’s 46. Moore is a lean 6-6, 250, and while he struggles as a blocker, his agility allows him to break quickly out of patterns to get open. He also scored four touchdowns in limited work. Unfortunately, his upside is stunted in this offense.

2011

Moore showed some upside last season with three games of at least 69 receiving yards. His season was cut short by a hip injury, but he might be too good to not get more playing time in 2011.

2010

He had some nice games last season and will be primarily used as a backup. He will begin the season behind Ben Watson on the depth chart, but if Watson goes down Moore will receive plenty of opportunities.
