George Selvie: Past News Updates ( ▲ View most recent update )
Exclusive Fantasy Analysis (FREE PREVIEW)Selvie started 29 of the 32 games he played for the Cowboys over the past two seasons, piling up 60 tackles and 10 sacks over that stretch. The 28-year-old probably won't be a starter or an IDP option in 2015, but the Giants found a nice bargain to improve their defensive line depth. There is some chance Selvie could compete with Damontre Moore and/or Robert Ayers (pectoral) for the starting spot opposite Jason Pierre-Paul.
RotoWire's Preseason Outlooks
There was no outlook written for George Selvie.
Reserve defensive end, vying for a roster spot.
Selvie came off the scrap heap last season to start all 16 games for the Cowboys, recording 45 tackles and seven sacks. The drafting of DeMarcus Lawrence and the possible return of Anthony Spencer could cut into Selvie's snaps, but he should remain a big part of the defensive end rotation.
Selvie is expected to contribute along the defensive line on a rotational basis in 2012, though the progress of second-round draft pick Andre Branch could dictate how much playing time Selvie receives.
Selvie is expected to win the fourth and final roster spot at the defensive end position backing up Chris Long.
Selvie will most likely end up as a third-string back-up in his rookie year but a strong camp could yield a primary back-up role behind starter Victory Adeyanju.
