Kyle Wilson: Past News Updates ( ▲ View most recent update )
Exclusive Fantasy Analysis (FREE PREVIEW)Wilson probably won't start right away assuming Darrelle Revis gets his contract problems worked out, as Revis and Antonio Cromartie present a pretty formidable and experienced tandem. Wilson has a reputation as a playmaker, however, so the Jets may put him in their immediately in nickel or dime situations and in the return game.
RotoWire's Preseason Outlooks
There was no outlook written for Kyle Wilson.
Wilson is expected to compete for a roster spot at cornerback with the Saints. While he has yet to miss a game in his five-year career, Wilson has only three career interceptions and has never had more than 48 tackles. Absent injury to one of the Saints' presumed starting cornerbacks, Keenan Lewis and Brandon Browner, Wilson is not expected to have much IDP value in 2015.
Wilson will compete with All-Pro Antonio Cromartie and highly-touted rookie Dee Milliner for a starting cornerback spot. He stepped in as the starter last season when Darrelle Revis suffered a torn ACL and went on to record 48 tackles and one pick in 16 games. Even if he does not win a starting job, Wilson figures to see plenty of time on the field in 2013.
Wilson is coming off a disappointing rookie season and needs to up his game in his sophomore year. Look for Wilson to be on the field in nickel and dime situations and also be used as a punt returner
