RotoWire's Preseason Outlooks
There was no outlook written for Stephen Bowen.
Will provide depth at defensive end for the Jets. In 2014, Bowen had 11 tackles in eight games with the Redskins. He has zero sacks since 2012.
Bowen missed time in 2013 due to a knee injury and underwent micro-fracture surgery during the offseason. He hopes to be ready for training camp. If healthy he'll man the middle of the defensive line. Because of his role has a run stopper he won't record many sacks or tackles.
Starting defensive end who fills the gaps. He is primarily a run stopper and only recorded 26 tackles and one sack in 2012 - lowest since 2008.
Will start at defensive tackle/end. He suffered a torn PCL late in 2011 but was able to play through the injury. He is expected to be healthy to start 2012. He had a career high six sacks which equaled his career total. Six is probably on the upper end of expectations, he is primarily a run stopper.
Veteran end had three sacks in 16 games and is a useful cog in the D-line rotation.
