Westerman agreed to a deal with the Browns on Thursday, the Akron Beacon Journal reports.

ANALYSIS
Westerman has plenty of experience under new Browns coach Mike Pettine, as the linebacker appeared in 12 games for the Bills last season when Pettine was their defensive coordinator. He also played under Pettine with the Jets from 2009-11. The outside linebacker has a total of five NFL season under his belt, accumulating a total of 62 tackles and six sacks over that span. He'll compete for a roster spot as a reserve linebacker and special teams player.
