Young will be cut by the Rams, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.

Exclusive Fantasy Analysis (FREE PREVIEW)

Young lasted a grand total of nine days with the Rams, just enough time to meet coaches and officials and take a physical. You can draw any conclusion you want to in regard to that timeline, but we think it says the hot-headed wide receiver may be done in the NFL.
The Rams have claimed Young (knee) off waivers from the Lions, Jim Thomas of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.

Exclusive Fantasy Analysis (FREE PREVIEW)

Young, who was selected 44th overall by the Lions in the 2011 NFL Draft, fell out of favor in Detroit this past season, but afforded a fresh start, the slight, but quick wideout could well turn things around with the Rams if he is able to re-establish himself with a strong training camp/preseason.
The Lions have released Young.

Exclusive Fantasy Analysis (FREE PREVIEW)

Young, who ended the season on injured reserve because of tendinitis in his knee, was selected 44th overall by the Lions in the 2011 NFL Draft. While the slightly built, but quick, Boise State product displayed some promise in his two-year stint with the team, his attitude and approach ultimately rubbed the team the wrong way, and he'll get a much-needed chance to rebuild his image and career elsewhere.
Young's (knee) future with the Lions remains in limbo, the Detroit Free Press reports. "If it was just based off this year you might not consider bringing him back," GM Mike Mayhew said of the talented but troubled wideout. "But if you go back to 2011 and you look at his ability to function in this offense, his ability to get along with his teammates, the production that he gave us as a receiver, he’s demonstrated the ability to be a very productive player in this league."

RotoWire's Preseason Outlooks

2014

There was no outlook written for Titus Young.

2013

Young's legal issues landed him in hot water, and he currently sits without a team. His talent is evident, but he is likely going to have to make some changes in his personal life before he gets another shot in the league.

2012

Playing in the shadow of Calvin Johnson, Young had a productive rookie season - at least by cosmetic measures - 607 yards and six scores. But looking deeper, he averaged just 7.1 YPT and 12.6 YPC, while usually facing single coverage in a potent offense. At 5-11, 174, Young is small, but awfully fast. He's logged four receptions of 40-yards or more on just 85 looks, but wasn't always targeted far down field. Heading into Year 2, he'll be more familiar with quarterback Matthew Stafford, have a better feel for playing in the NFL and will almost always be allowed to run free with Johnson on the field. But besides Johnson dominating the targets, Nate Burleson is still around, the team often throws to its two pass-catching tight ends and it drafted receiver Ryan Broyles (who's coming back from an ACL tear) in the second round. Just before press time, Young was sent home from OTAs after punching teammate Louis Delmas, but was back practicing about a week later. It shouldn't affect his status with the team, but it does speak to his immaturity - he was also benched during the second half of a December game for an ill-timed personal foul penalty - and likely leaves him with little margin for error behavior-wise.

2011

Taken with the 44th overall pick in the draft, Young immediately provides the Lions with another downfield threat, someone other than Calvin Johnson who can generate big plays through the air. At 5-11, 170, Young’s not going to be a red-zone threat, and for this season at least, he’ll likely be the third option behind Nate Burleson.
