Washington Redskins: Team Draft Needs

Even after a disappointing sophomore season, Washington's best hope for success is clearly to invest in Robert Griffin. Along with DBs, WRs should be the team's top target.

Morgan has a torn meniscus and partially torn ACL, Larry Holder of the New Orleans Times-Picayune reports.

Exclusive Fantasy Analysis (FREE PREVIEW)

Morgan is slated to undergo surgery Wednesday as a result and is done for the season, the New Orleans Times-Picayune reports. The loss of Morgan now presumably creates an open competition for wideout looks that don't go to top option Marques Colston and slot man Lance Moore. Nick Toon might be a favorite, with fifth-round rookie pick Kenny Stills and free agent signing Steve Breaston potentially in the conversation, too.
Morgan (knee) sustained a knee injury of unknown severity in Saturday's intra-team scrimmage. While the Saints still have not announced the extent of the ailment, he will receive a second opinion on the injury, reports the New Orleans Times-Picayune.

Morgan (leg) was forced out of the Saints' Black and Gold scrimmage with an apparent leg injury, reports the New Orleans Times-Picayune. After being tackled by rookie Kenny Vaccaro, Morgan left the game with a limp.
Morgan has one of the top three receiver spots "locked down" according to Terrance Harris of the New Orleans Times-Picayune. In limited playing time in 2012 after making the team as an undrafted rookie free agent, he caught 10 passes for 379 yards and three touchdowns, averaging a whopping 37.9 yards per catch.

2013

Suffered a season-ending knee injury in training camp.

2012

An undrafted free agent out of tiny Walsh College, Morgan was the darling of Saints training camp last year and was considered a lock for a roster spot before a knee injury sidelined him for the entire year. He returns in 2012 but will again face a stiff uphill climb to even secure a roster spot. Still, with the Saints' receiving corps far from determined and Morgan's further abilities as a kick returner, he is at least worth monitoring in training camp to see if he was more than a flash in the pan last year.
