RotoWire's Preseason Outlooks
There was no outlook written for Brandon Harris.
Harris suffered a torn ACL in the offseason and is a long shot to come off the IR in time to make an impact for the Titans in 2015.
Harris was both good and bad last season while playing about 20 percent of the Texans' defensive snaps. He can play safety as well, so it looks like he'll be involved in some manner with the Titans in 2014.
Harris will resume his role as Houston's fourth cornerback. He got more playing time in 2012, largely due to injuries to Jonathan Joseph and Brice McCain.
The Texans used a 2011 second-round draft pick on Harris, so it was a disappointment that he played less than 30 snaps in his rookie season. The knock on Harris is his speed and it was clear to the coaches that he wasn't ready to contribute defensively. He'll probably stick with the roster, but Brice McCain emerged as the nickel corner last season and Harris will have to make an impact on special teams.
The undersized Harris will have to work hard to break out of a pack of cornerbacks looking for role in Houston's sub packages.
