RotoWire's Preseason Outlooks
There was no outlook written for Quinton Carter.
Carter's entire 2013 season was knocked out by a knee injury, and while he continues to recover, it would be tough to see him making much of an IDP impact this season.
Will compete with Quentin Jammer to be Rahim Moore's backup at free safety.
Carter was drafted two rounds later than fellow safety and teammate Rahim Moore, but if their play as rookies is any indication, Carter is the better player. Moore finished the year with 31 tackles and an interception in 15 games (seven starts), while Carter posted 56 stops (45 solo) while starting 10 games. He added an interception in both of Denver's playoff games, giving him 57 tackles (43 solo), one sack and two interceptions through 12 starts, which would project to 76 tackles (57 solo) and three interceptions over a full season.
Will be a third-string strong safety.
