Settles legal issues

Sherman pled guilty Monday in King County (Wash.) Superior Court to two charges and an infraction stemming from a July 2021 arrest, Jenna Laine of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
The charges included negligent driving in the first degree and criminal trespass in the second degree, while Sherman also received an infraction for speeding in a roadway construction zone. The off-field concerns kept him away from football until the Buccaneers came calling in September in the midst of a number of injuries within their secondary. But hamstring, calf and Achilles issues of his own contained Sherman to five appearances, which translated to 11 tackles, one interception and one fumble recovery. With his legal issues behind him, it remains to be seen if the soon-to-be 34-year-old will garner much interest on the free-agent market.

Sherman returned to his All-Pro form in 2019, finishing with 61 tackles (48 solo), 11 passes defended, three interceptions and a touchdown over 15 regular-season contests. Some of the credit goes to a revamped defensive line that finally was able to apply quick pressure to opposing quarterbacks, but the 32-year-old also said (and looked) to be completely healthy for the first time since rupturing his Achilles tendon back in 2017. Sherman may have lost a step or two as he ventures further north of 30 years old, but he remains one of the league's top cover corners due to his positioning and defensive IQ.
Sherman had a relatively-healthy return from an Achilles tear last season, starting 14 games for his new club in San Francisco. The 31-year-old did not record an interception for the first time in his career, but that was mainly due to opposing offenses opting to throw the ball to the lesser defensive backs opposite him. Sherman stated that he is feeling even healthier this season after having the stitches removed from his surgery over a year ago, so we could see the closest thing to his prime in 2019.
Once the heart and soul of one of the most-feared defenses of all-time in Seattle, Sherman saw his Seahawks tenure end after his Achilles tendon snapped against Arizona in Week 9. The money-saving release didn't sit well with the 30-year-old, so he took that chip on his shoulder and signed an incentive-laden deal to play with his former team's division rival. This move could be a match made in heaven, as Sherman gets a chance to prove he's still a top-flight corner on a team that has lacked a shutdown corner for at least the past decade.
Despite being placed on the trade block amid tensions between him and the Seahawks organization this offseason, Sherman is slated to return for his seventh season in Seattle. He's the top cornerback on the team by a longshot, however, as has happened in the past, he likely won't see many passes thrown his way as opposing offenses pick on the less-experienced defensive backs next to him, leaving the Stanford product without much of an opportunity to rack up counting stats on a game-by-game basis. Overall, just don't get sucked in by Sherman's name-brand appeal; his real-life value as a football player isn't accurately reflected in the fantasy realm.
Sherman played in all 16 games for the fifth consecutive year, racking up 50 tackles, 14 passes defended, and two interceptions throughout the 2015 season. The 28-year-old shutdown corner is more valuable for Seattle than IDP owners, as his lower-than-expected interception numbers reflect his ability to cover opposing receivers to the point that quarterbacks are reluctant to throw his way. He'll lead the way once again in 2016 for what is arguably the league's best secondary.
Sherman will serve as the Seahawks top CB in 2013.
