With Johnathan Franklin no longer in the Packers' backfield mix, Harris (who could also factor in the team's return game) and James Starks are in line to jostle for backup slotting behind starter Eddie Lacy.
Harris may be used as a returner this season, Fox Sports Wisconsin reports. "I want DuJuan Harris to be the best running back he can be, and be the best special teams player he can be," coach Mike McCarthy said.

Harris (knee) will miss the 2013 season, ESPN's Chris Mortensen reports.

Exclusive Fantasy Analysis (FREE PREVIEW)

Harris was a legitimate candidate to lead the Green Bay backfield in 2013, but his absence makes it much more likely that rookie second-round pick Eddie Lacy will earn the role. Harris will be placed on injured reserve.
Harris is seeking a second opinion on his knee injury, Milwaukee Journal Sentinel writer Tyler Dunne reports.

Exclusive Fantasy Analysis (FREE PREVIEW)

Once the results come in, we should have a better handle on how much time Harris might miss, but the fact that he has a second opinion on tap suggests that his Week 1 status could be in question. If that's the case, Eddie Lacy would have one less impediment between him and securing the Packers' No. 1 running back assignment out of the gate.
Harris (knee) is not participating in Sunday's practice, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel's Tom Silverstein reports.

2014

2013

Harris emerged from nowhere late in 2012 after the Packers signed him midseason and then promoted him from the practice squad in December. In six games including the playoffs, the small but physical back found the end zone four times. With sub-4.4 speed and toughness between the tackles, the 5-9, 208-pound Harris was a bright spot during the Packers' ugly loss to San Francisco in the playoffs, and his effort seemed to impress the coaching staff, which said he'd have a chance to start this season. Unfortunately, his bid to start at RB for Green Bay was derailed by a knee injury that landed him on IR.

2012

Harris could stick as the team's third running back, but with backup Rashad Jennings healed and ready to roll in 2012, Harris will find himself without significant touches. His speed has made him a bit of a fan favorite and it's possible he enters the game to provide a change of pace, but he won't carry the ball enough to warrant much attention in fantasy circles.
