Keenum, who was limited in practice Friday due to a right thumb injury, will be a game-time decision for Sunday's game against the Titans, Drew Dougherty of the Texans' official site reports.

Exclusive Fantasy Analysis (FREE PREVIEW)

"We're going to wait and see how Case is," interim coach Wade Phillips noted of Keenum on Friday. "It could be a situation where he wouldn't be able to start, but he'd be the backup." In the event that Keenum is unable to start Sunday's 1:00 ET contest, then Matt Schaub would get the nod. For those with something on the line in Week 17, it's a situation to avoid in all but the deepest of formats.
Keenum (thumb) threw his "normal amount" of passes in Thursday's practice, after which interim coach Wade Phillips stated that he'll be under center Sunday in Tennessee, if healthy, Tania Ganguli of ESPN.com reports.

Exclusive Fantasy Analysis (FREE PREVIEW)

Keenum's strained right thumb seems to be recovering nicely, but Phillips has yet to name a starting QB for the season finale. Matt Schaub's underwhelming Week 16 performance -- 18-of-37 for 176 yards with one touchdown and two interceptions -- will likely aid in making the call. However, it's unclear exactly when owners will be aware of the Texans' upcoming No. 1 signal caller.

Keenum, who has ligament damage in his right thumb, continues to be evaluated by the Texans, the Houston Chronicle reports. "We'll practice [Tuesday] and see where Case is," interim coach Wade Phillips said Monday. "His [thumb] was in a splint last week."

Exclusive Fantasy Analysis (FREE PREVIEW)

Veteran Matt Schaub filled in for Keenum in Week 16, but with the 2-13 Texans decimated by injuries and in evaluation mode, it's possible that the team could turn to T.J. Yates in Sunday's season finale against the Titans.
The Texans have ruled Keenum (thumb) out for Sunday's game against the Broncos, ESPN.com reports.

Exclusive Fantasy Analysis (FREE PREVIEW)

As a result, Matt Schaub will start in his place this weekend and possibly in Week 17 as well, give that the report indicates that Keenum sustained ligament damage in his right (throwing) thumb this past weekend.
Keenum suffered a sprained right thumb against the Colts on Sunday, ESPN.com reports.

2012

Keenum signed with the Texans as an undrafted free agent out of the University of Houston where he led the nation in yards (5,631) and touchdowns (48) in 2011. He enters training camp needing to adjust to life under center in the NFL and will compete with John Beck to be Houston's third-string quarterback. After starter Matt Schaub, the Texans get pretty young at the position. Probably younger than a conference-title contender wants to be, which may work in Beck's favor.
