RotoWire's Preseason Outlooks
There was no outlook written for Jaye Howard.
Set to start at left defensive end in 2016, Howard has reportedly had a strong start to training camp. Coming off a career season in which he posted career-highs in tackles (57) and sacks (5.5), Howard should be in good position to put up another impressive campaign.
Howard played in all 16 games for the Chiefs last season (started 10), and notched 36 tackles (24 solo) and one sack over the course of the season. While Mike DeVito is back from an Achilles' injury, Dontari Poe's herniated disc surgery will allow Howard to receive a fair amount of playing time early on.
The former 2012 fourth-round pick slots in as a reserve defensive tackle after recording just six tackles in three games for the Chiefs in 2013.
