Franklin was signed by the Chiefs off the practice squad Wednesday, the Kansas City Star reports.

ANALYSIS
Franklin will serve as depth in the linebacking corps following a season-ending injury suffered by Derrick Johnson on Sunday. He probably won't see the field much barring an injury, but could play some on special teams.
