RotoWire's Preseason Outlooks
There was no outlook written for Duke Ihenacho.
Ihenacho has had his season cut extremely short the last two years, playing only four total games in 2014 and 2015. Those injuries make Ihenacho’s 2013 season with the Broncos, during which he recorded 73 combined tackles and three forced fumbles, seem like a distant memory. Indeed, he will have his work cut out for him, as he will have to compete with former Broncos and now Redskins teammate David Bruton for minutes at strong safety. Bruton holds a strong lead in the competition at the moment, and it will take a special effort this preseason for Ihenacho to be starting ahead of him come Week 1.
Ihenacho missed all of 2014 after fracturing his heel. He will compete against Jeron Johnson for a starting safety job.
Ihenacho racked up 74 tackles and forced three fumbles last season in 15 games for Denver last season. He'll bolster the Redskins' depth at safety after joining the team in August.
Will provide depth at strong safety behind Mike Adams and David Bruton.
Will provide depth in the defensive backfield.
