RotoWire's Preseason Outlooks

2017

There was no outlook written for Eddie Pleasant.

2016

Pleasant is entering his fifth season with the Texans and has missed just two games over the past three years. Hes coming off his best season in 2015, when he had two interceptions and six passes defensed. He has a reputation as a hard hitter an in-the-box kind of safety but has showed improved pass coverage during training camp. Safety is awfully crowded, but Pleasant showed enough last season to earn a spot in 2016. Andre Hal figures to be the starting free safety while Pleasant, Quintin Demps and free agent Antonio Allen in the mix at strong safety.

2014

Pleasant got into all 16 games for the Texans in 2013, both as a safety and on special teams. It would appear this coming season he'll need to make his mark on special teams. Houston brought in two free-agent safeties, have two other returnees that ended 2013 as starters, and drafted another.

2013

Pleasant is looking to nail down the final safety spot. The Texans figure to carry four safeties and that last spot is between Pleasant and Shiloh Keo. Both could make the roster if Ed Reed isn't healthy.
