December 14, 2014
Stewart had two carries for 16 yards Sunday against the Chargers.
ANALYSIS
Stewart banged a 16-yard run on his first touch, but was then stopped for no gain on his second. Starting running back C.J. Anderson rushed 29 times, leaving very little for Stewart and fellow backup Juwan Thompson (four carries for 14 yards). Stewart's days in uniform could be numbered, as Ronnie Hillman (foot) is expected to return in Week 16 against the Bengals.

2013
Stewart was promoted from the practice squad in November of last season thanks to the injuries to Montee Ball and Ronnie Hillman, and he enters this season stuck behind them, as well as C.J. Anderson and Juwan Thompson, on the depth chart. It seems unlikely that he jumps any of them for playing time, given his small production over the last two seasons (eight carries for 24 yards in 19 games), though if the injury bug hits again, he could move up a few spots.
Stewart was waived by the Raiders during the team's final roster cut-downs.
Stewart saw all of 25 attempts last season, but given the durability issues of the two running backs ahead of him on the depth chart (Darren McFadden and Rashad Jennings), there's a good chance that number increases in 2013. Rookie Latavius Murray and fullback Marcel Reese are also options if McFadden and Jennings go down, but the 24-year-old Stewart will look to show in the preseason that he can be effective if called upon.
