With Jamaal Charles (concussion) ruled out earlier in the game, the Chiefs are now down to just one halfback, Cyrus Gray. Luckily for Kansas City, WR Dexter McCluster was a running back in college. Look for Gray to see most of the snaps at halfback, with McCluster possibly getting a bit of work. Davis finishes the day with 18 carries for 67 yards and a touchdown, adding seven receptions for 33 yards and another score.
Davis (leg) left Saturday's game in the fourth quarter with an apparent leg/ankle injury, Kevin Bowen of Colts.com reports.

2013

A remarkable size-speed specimen, the 6-0, 230-pound Davis ran a 4.37 40 and did 31 bench press reps at this year's Combine. The Chiefs drafted him in the third round in hopes of landing the one-cut-and-explode runner who was once a college phenom, not the injured back who lost 2011 to an ankle injury that continued to make him ineffective last year. Although durability and a history of fumbling are concerns, Davis' physical gifts and potential are undeniable, making him an intriguing insurance policy for Jamaal Charles.
