Exclusive Fantasy Analysis (FREE PREVIEW)

Seastrunk is a former blue-chip recruit who originally joined the Oregon program before transferring to Baylor. He was a two-year player for the Bears, providing huge big-play ability despite some general inconsistency. Despite receiving just 29 carries in the first eight games of 2012, Seastrunk finished that year with 1,012 yards on the ground, finishing with a rushing average of 7.7 YPC after exploding for 831 yards in his last six games. His 2013 season was similarly impressive, as he ran for 1,177 yards (7.5 YPC) and 11 touchdowns despite missing most of three games with a leg injury. Seastrunk is built fairly well (5-foot-9, 210) but is clearly a speed back more than anything else. His straight-line speed is very good and his lateral movement is spectacular. His ability to cut and juke is on the level of Reggie Bush. He's very untested as a receiver, however, as he didn't catch a single pass in 2013. Seastrunk has questions to answer regarding his ability to run inside, which is a concern when you pair that fact with his lack of receiving production. A big-play back who can't catch might struggle to make a consistent impact. Still, Seastrunk's explosiveness and high motor as a runner make him a very likable prospect. He might be the first running back selected, though likely in the second round.
