RotoWire's Preseason Outlooks

2017

There was no outlook written for James Wilder.

2016

Wilder enters his second season in the NFL after spending his first season on the Bengalsí practice squad, and although he enters a new situation in Buffalo, it is not necessarily a better situation. Wilder will have a chance to try and impress during training camp, but in reality he could become, at best, the Billsí fourth-string halfback and worst-case scenario could be waived during first cuts. Proven backs LeSean McCoy, Karlos Williams and Reggie Bush, as well as Mike Gillislee and Jonathan Williams, all sit ahead of Wilder on the current Bills depth chart.
