RotoWire's Preseason Outlooks
There was no outlook written for Al Louis-Jean.
Louis-Jean made the ill-advised decision to go pro last spring with two years of eligibility remaining, but it ended up working out well for him after he latched on with the Bears upon going undrafted. After biding his time on the practice squad, Louis-Jean was added to the 53-man roster in October and appeared in nine games as the Bears played out the string on a losing season. The 21-year-old flashed potential at times during his limited snaps, but a poor training camp showing in front of the Bears' new coaching staff resulted in his release in late August.
Louis-Jean went undrafted after declaring for the NFL following his sophomore season at Boston College, but impressed the Bears' brass during the team's rookie minicamp, earning an invitation to training camp. The former four-star recruit has an impressive pedigree working in his favor, but after failing to claim a berth on the 53-man roster, the Bears will likely attempt to stash him on their practice squad.
