Hot

Sidney Crosby (C) Pittsburgh – Crosby could probably be on this list every week, but the streak he has been on lately is just sick. Crosby has 11 goals in his last six games and 26 goals on the season. He is so hot right now that he could make a run at 50 goals in 50 games. It seems like every game he is shooting for a hat trick. If there was any doubt about the title of best player in the NHL, there should be no more. What's even more incredible is that he has done a majority of this damage without Evgeni Malkin, who is out due to injury.

Tomas Kaberle (D) Toronto – Kaberle may have been forgotten in some fantasy leagues, as he is still stuck in Toronto for some reason. There have been plenty of rumors over the past couple of years that Toronto would deal the veteran defenseman for players that could help the team with their rebuilding effort, but Kaberle remains, and has four assists in his last four games.

Cold

Daniel Alfredsson (W) Ottawa – That's nine games and counting for Alfredsson without not only a goal, but a point as well, and it's not like he's going to help your team with penalty minutes. If you haven't already, Alfredsson needs to take a seat until he starts entering some crooked numbers on the score sheet.

Brian Elliott (G) Ottawa – Elliott has now lost six of his last seven starts, and this cold streak couldn't come at a worse time as Pascal Leclaire is back and healthy, and will start to eat into Elliott's playing time. Elliott needs to be more consistent, as he does have a pair of shutouts during that streak, including a shutout he lost during a shootout, but overall his performance has done nothing to solidify his status as the No. 1 netminder.

Recommended Pickup

Logan Couture (C) San Jose – With all the talk about Taylor Hall and Tyler Seguin as the probable Calder Trophy winners, Couture has flown under the radar so far this season, but with 13 goals, including six in his last four games, he is definitely worth a pickup in your fantasy league if still available.
